Bengals cornerback takes shot at Chiefs’ Tyreek Hill on Twitter after Sunday’s game
One of the biggest plays of Sunday’s AFC Championship Game at Arrowhead Stadium was the Chiefs’ inability to get points at the end of the first half despite having the ball on the Bengals’ 1-yard line.
Rather than kick a field goal, the Chiefs saw the half end when quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ pass in the flat to receiver Tyreek Hill was completed but two Bengals players were there to tackle him in bounds and short of the goal line.
One of those Bengals players was cornerback Eli Apple, who got on Twitter shortly after the postgame ceremony on the field that saw Cincinnati receive the Lamar Hunt Trophy.
Apple wrote: “AFC CHAMPS !! Who Dey Big love to the 2 best safeties in the game” and “Oh yea that chiefs cheetah pack finna hit way crazier the 2nd time”

A Twitter user showed the play to end the first half and wrote: As much (grief) as you’ll get, I gotta concede you had the game winning play here”
Apple responded by again poking fun at Hill, using his Twitter handle: “He’s a baby ! @cheetah”

Hill took the high road with his response: “No Twitter beef big dog just hit my line.”

Hill finished the game with seven receptions for 78 yards and a touchdown.
Chiefs receiver Mecole Hardman also responded to Apple on Twitter:

And Apple had this to say to Hill and Hardman:
