Bears vs. Panthers, Week 5 injury report: Thursday

The Chicago Bears (2-2) released their second injury report ahead of Sunday's Week 5 game against the Carolina Panthers (1-3), which featured some encouraging updates.

The Bears had two players who didn't practice on Thursday, due to injury, including defensive tackle Zacch Pickens (groin) and cornerback Terell Smith (hip). Pickens appears on track to miss his fourth game while Smith is on track to miss his second game.

There was some good news with left guard Teven Jenkins, who is day-to-day with bruised ribs, returning to practice in limited fashion on Thursday. Return specialist and receiver DeAndre Carter (ribs) was also a limited participant along with defensive end Montez Sweat (ankle). Tight end Cole Kmet (knee) practiced in full on Thursday.
