Bears vs. Lions: Announcers set for Week 16 game
The Chicago Bears (4-10) will battle the Detroit Lions (12-2) in Week 16, where Chicago is looking to snap their eight-game losing streak and record their first division win of the season.
The Bears’ Week 16 game will air on FOX at Noon CT. The television commentators for the game are Kenny Albert (play-by-play), Jonathan Vilma (analyst) and Megan Olivi.
The Bears are coming off a 30-12 loss to the Minnesota Vikings on Monday Night Football, which marked the second straight loss since Thomas Brown took over as interim head coach. The offense once again struggled, stalling twice in scoring position, and not scoring a touchdown until the fourth quarter. Caleb Williams also took a beating. While the defense was able to get pressure on Sam Darnold, they struggled to stop the run and were eventually overpowered.
Meanwhile, Detroit is coming off a 48-42 loss to the Buffalo Bills, where MVP frontrunner Josh Allen proved to be too much. Allen threw for 362 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for 68 yards and two more scores. But this game proved to be devastating in the injury department. The Lions lost Alim McNeill and running back David Montgomery (knee) for the season, which are both brutal blows. They now have 22 players on injured reserve.
The Bears are 0-4 in the NFC North this season with close losses to the Green Bay Packers (20-19 in Week 11), Vikings (30-27 in Week 12) and Lions (23-20 in Week 13) and coming off a blowout loss to the Vikings (30-12 in Week 15). We'll see if Chicago can find a way to upset an injury-battered Detroit squad at Soldier Field.
