Pleasant has had plenty of experience on both sides of the ball throughout his career. His most prominent roles have come with the Rams, where he started as the cornerbacks coach from 2017 to 2020, working with players such as Jalen Ramsey and Marcus Peters.
In 2021, he joined the Lions, where he linked up with Johnson as their defensive backs and passing game coordinator until he was let go midway through the 2022 season. Pleasant stayed in the division, joining the Green Bay Packers a couple of weeks later for the remainder of the year.
Pleasant re-joined the Rams in 2023 as their defensive backs coach and passing game coordinator and was elevated to assistant head coach for the 2024 season. Under his tutelage this past season, the Rams held opposing offenses to 223.1 yards per game through the air but allowed the sixth-most touchdowns (29). Pleasant joins former New Orleans Saints head coach Dennis Allen as potential candidates for the position.
