Bears report card: How we graded Chicago in their Week 1 win vs. Titans
The Chicago Bears (1-0) defeated the Tennessee Titans (0-1), 24-17, where Chicago mounted a second-half comeback win thanks to their defense and special teams.
Everything that could've gone wrong in the first half did, and it felt like the game was getting out of reach. But the second half was a different story, where the defense and special teams took it into their own hands and singlehandedly managed to secure the miraculous comeback victory.
Rookie quarterback Caleb Williams didn't have the kind of debut that he would've liked -- and he'd be the first to admit his performance was bad -- but we knew to expect growing pains with a young quarterback. The fact that the Bears were still able to come away with a win, despite how poorly the offense played, speaks to the overall talent on this team.
