Bears' Matt Eberflus won't rule out change at offensive coordinator

Following their third straight loss, and an embarrassing one to the New England Patriots at home, the Chicago Bears could be considering serious changes.

Coming into their Week 10 matchup, the Patriots were 2-7, and at the bottom of the league during their current rebuild stage, yet they outplayed the Bears who were on the brink of playoff contention in a tough NFC North division.

Chicago's offense was held to a season-low three points against one of the worst defenses in the NFL. But it's nothing new. Offensive coordinator Shane Waldron's unit has been abysmal since the bye week, where they've scored just 27 points, two touchdowns (both in Week 8) and rookie quarterback Caleb Williams has been sacked 18 times.

In his post-game press conference, head coach Matt Eberflus was asked about any potential coaching changes to the staff, and he said that the team is evaluating everything, including changes to the offensive play calling.

"We're looking at everything," Eberflus said.

There were no announcements of any immediate changes to the coaching staff, but going into the rivalry game against the Green Bay Packers, there should undoubtedly be a sense of urgency for things to get right with the Bears.

If there is another embarrassing loss to their biggest rival, which would in turn become a four-game losing streak, the Bears should do something they don't historically entertain, and that's clean house with all of the responsible coaching staff.
