Bears GM Ryan Poles expected to attend Georgia vs. Alabama

Chicago Bears general manager Ryan Poles continues to put in work for the 2025 NFL Draft. According to Jim Nagy, executive director of the Senior Bowl, Poles is expected to be in attendance for Saturday's game between the Georgia Bulldogs and the Alabama Crimson Tide. Poles will be just one of two general managers in attendance, joining Brad Holmes of the Detroit Lions. Half the league will also have scouts at the game to evaluate the players.

This isn't the first time Poles has personally scouted Georgia this season. He was in attendance for their opening game against the Clemson Tigers over Labor Day weekend. Now, he's seeing two powerhouse SEC programs that have players that could be available for the Bears during April's draft.

Georgia has quite a few quality offensive linemen the Bears could use, such as Earnest Greene, and Dylan Fairchild. Tate Ratledge is another name who could be a possible fit, but he's out due to injury. And while quarterback Carson Beck will draw plenty of attention, it won't be from the Bears. Their best player, however, has to be Malaki Starks, one of the best safety prospects to come out in years.

Alabama, to no one's surprise, has plenty of NFL-caliber talent on their sideline as well. Guard Tyler Booker is on the top of their list, another offensive lineman the Bears could be interested in, and they have a quality center in Parker Brailsford.

No matter how you look at it, this matchup is filled with star talent, and Poles is very interested in seeing what they can do up close. Armed with a first and two second-round picks, it's very possible Poles uses one of them on a player from this matchup.
