Bears fans are begging for Matt Eberflus to be fired after loss vs. Patriots

Just when you think the bar can't get much lower, the Chicago Bears always find a way to prove their fans wrong in the most excruciating way possible.

With the Bears riding a two-game losing streak since the bye week, which started with a brutal Hail Mary collapse against the Washington Commanders, head coach Matt Eberflus had an opportunity to get his team a much-needed win against a New England Patriots team that held the No. 1 pick in the 2025 NFL draft heading into Week 10.

Instead, Chicago had another embarrassing outing that resulted in a 19-3 loss to arguably the worst team in the NFL (before this game). Since the bye week, the Bears have lost three straight games, been outscored 66-27 and gotten rookie quarterback Caleb Williams beaten up behind a makeshift and injury-riddled offensive line.

You can make the argument that Chicago should've fired Eberflus following last season, especially knowing they were starting over with a rookie quarterback. Instead, a brutal cycle continues as the Bears find a way to ruin a promising young quarterback.

The Bears have never fired a head coach midseason -- and that's unlikely to change -- but the product on the field has shown you that Eberflus and offensive coordinator Shane Waldron aren't the answer. Something must be done to right the ship before this current coaching staff ruins Caleb Williams. And Bears fans are begging general manager Ryan Poles and president Kevin Warren to rip the band-aid off as soon as Monday.

Bears fans, local media and national media are all calling for Eberflus' job after this embarrassing loss to the Patriots
