Bears elevate RB Darrynton Evans, DB Adrian Colbert for game vs. 49ers

The Chicago Bears elevated a pair of players from their practice squad ahead of their late Sunday afternoon matchup against the San Francisco 49ers. The team announced running back Darrynton Evans and safety Adrian Colbert have been added to the active roster.

Evans is on his third stint with the Bears after he was added to the practice squad in early November. With Roschon Johnson out with a concussion and D'Andre Swift questionable with a quad injury, he will serve as depth. Evans has not appeared in a game yet this season.

Colbert, meanwhile, will appear in his third game as a backup behind Kevin Byard and Jonathan Owens. He is filling in for Jaquan Brisker and Elijah Hicks, who have both missed multiple games with a concussion and ankle injury, respectively. Colbert has contributed solely on special teams during his two games.

The Bears take on the 49ers at 3:25 p.m. CT on Sunday afternoon.
