Bears DB Adrian Colbert takes life-changing ayahuasca trip with Aaron Rodgers
Who would have thought Aaron Rodgers would still be dealing with Chicago Bears defensive backs in 2024? Rodgers took one of his famous ayahuasca trips this year and was joined by none other than Bears defensive back Adrian Colbert, as seen in the Netflix docuseries "Aaron Rodgers: Enigma."
The Bears defender spoke with TMX from Halas Hall about the experience and how he came away a changed man. He also didn't know Rodgers personally, but met him when Miami Dolphins safety Jordan Poyer set the trip up. "[Poyer] put together a really special group of guys, family and friends, and just happened to get connected to Aaron Rodgers on the trip, which was pretty cool," Colbert said.

Colbert discussed what Rodgers told him to expect from the experience, which was his first. "The biggest thing from Aaron was just to surrender, and I think that kind of plays in life in general. Surrender to control, especially to the things that aren't in you."
There have been many surprising moments that have occurred this Bears season, and somehow Colbert taking an ayahuasca trip with Rodgers probably doesn't crack the top five. Colbert made waves during HBO's "Hard Knocks: Training Camp with the Chicago Bears" earlier this summer for his use of crystals and sound bowls. The experience wound up giving Colbert a new outlook on life. "For me personally, I was once driven off of anger and how can I prove other people wrong for doubting me? But now, I come from a place of love."
Colbert has played three games for the Bears this season and is currently on the practice squad.
