Bears' Caleb Williams has highest QB PFF grade vs Packers in 2024
Despite the gut-wrenching loss to the Green Bay Packers this past Sunday, quarterback Caleb Williams was the biggest positive for the Chicago Bears. In what has been an up-and-down season, combined with a change in offensive coordinator just nine games into his rookie year, Williams flashed signs of great potential against the Packers.
Even though he failed to throw a touchdown pass in his first game under new offensive coordinator Thomas Brown, Williams thrived with plenty of intangibles as a quarterback. Getting the ball out faster, leading the team down on two touchdown drives, and playing turnover-free football, Williams received a very high Pro Football Focus grade for his play in Week 11 -- 85.2, which led the Bears in Week 11.
In fact, Williams had the highest grade of all quarterbacks who have faced the Green Bay Packers this season, scoring higher than the likes of Jared Goff, Jalen Hurts, C.J. Stroud, and Kyler Murray to name a few.
QB PFF grades vs. Green Bay this season:
Jalen Hurts: 29.8
Anthony Richardson: 40.6
Will Levis: 54.7
Sam Darnold: 45.5
Matt Stafford: 54.4
Kyler Murray: 55.7
C.J. Stroud: 62.7
Trevor Lawrence: 74.5
Jared Goff: 76.2
Caleb Williams: 85.2— george (@thegeorgesiu) November 18, 2024
In the loss, Williams completed 23-of-31 passes for 231 yards with no touchdowns, no interceptions or fumbles, and was sacked three times. His passer rating for the game was 95.0 while his QBR was 83.3, and his PFF grade came in at a 85.2 which was the highest against the Packers all season.
