For the first time this season, the Chicago Bears were first to see their name on the scoreboard. After what has been an abysmal start to their season offensively, as they're always playing from behind, the Bears were finally able to get on the board as the first team to score in Week 12 of the 2024 NFL season.

After their first two offensive drives ended in a fumble, even after they recovered a fumble in the red zone against the Minnesota Vikings, the Bears were finally able to down and execute a seven-play, 79-yard drive, that took just over four minutes of game time.

The drive featured some impressive throws from rookie quarterback Caleb Williams, which included a 40-yard completion to receiver Keenan Allen and 30-yard reception to running back D'Andre Swift. The drive culminated in running back Roschon Johnson scoring a one-yard touchdown, the team's third consecutive rushing touchdown that they've scored.

The lead wouldn't last long as the Vikings would respond on the following drive with their own touchdown, then take a 14-7 lead behind consecutive scoring drives.

But it was a rare feat for a Chicago team that has scored in the first quarter just three times in 11 games -- a touchdown and field goal. It was the Bears' first first-quarter touchdown since Oct. 6 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
