What’s the latest with the Chicago Bears?
The Bears will battle the Houston Texans on Sunday Night Football in Week 2, where they'll be looking to build on an encouraging defensive performance and improve after a rough offensive outing. One of the biggest questions is the statuses of receivers Keenan Allen and Rome Odunze, who are officially questionable for Sunday's matchup. Allen has been dealing with a heal injury (and didn't practice all week) while Odunze suffered a Grade 1 MCL sprain (and was limited on Friday).
Here’s a look at the most recent and relevant Bears stories for the morning of Saturday, Sept. 14:
Bears vs. Texans, Week 2 injury report: Friday
There's encouraging news for Chicago's offense with wide receivers Rome Odunze and Keenan Allen both being questionable. After suffering a Grade 1 MCL sprain last Sunday, Odunze was a limited participant in Friday's practice, an indication he might suit up. Meanwhile, Allen hasn't practiced all week after reaggravating a heel injury, but he was listed as questionable so he could very well be a game-time decision.

The Texans are coming off a win in a 29-27 win over the Indianapolis Colts (0-1), Chicago's Week 3 opponent. This will be the first time the Bears and Texans have faced off since 2022, but now both teams have new, young quarterbacks at the helm of their offenses. Before Chicago and Houston square off in prime time, are the four key matchups to keep an eye on.
