Crystal Palace suffered a highly disappointing 2-0 defeat to Fulham in Saturday’s Premier League game at Selhurst Park.

The Eagles entered the fixture on the back of a three-game unbeaten run but failed to build on their recent positive results yesterday on their home soil.

Emile Smith Rowe broke the deadlock on the stroke of half-time when he fired a left-foot effort past Dean Henderson.

Palace forward Daichi Kamada received a red card for a reckless challenge on Kenny Tete before the visitors struck their second through Harry Wilson in the 83rd minute.

BBC football pundit Nedum Onuoha was far from impressed with the Eagles’ display and made a stunning claim about Oliver Glasner.

The former Manchester City star said the hosts were completely outplayed on Saturday and claimed Glasner could be the next Premier League manager to get sacked.

Expressing his views on managers who could be in trouble on BBC Sport’s Final Score, Onuoha said: “For me, one that sticks out at the moment, is Glasner at Crystal Palace. Just because from today for example, I thought they were thoroughly outplayed by Fulham, and Fulham are a good side but they are not the best side the Premier League has ever seen before. You are seeing players who are injured at the moment, seeing players now who are going to be suspended like Kamada after his red card. It seems like something is missing”.

Oliver Glasner did a brilliant job after taking over as manager at Crystal Palace in February.

After a difficult start, the Austrian boss led his side to six wins from their final seven matches and they finished the season in 10th place.

The Eagles lost a few important players in Michael Olise and Joachim Andersen last summer but even then, their performances in 2024-25 have been very poor.

Injuries have also played their part, with Eddie Nketiah, Adam Wharton, Eberechi Eze and Jefferson Lerma currently all sidelined.

However, Glasner must bring significant improvement soon, otherwise he could find himself out of the job soon.
