Bayern thrash Werder Bremen to continue Kompany's 100% start

A Michael Olise inspired Bayern Munich thrashed Werder Bremen 5-0 to continue their 100% start to the season.
The summer signing fired his side into the lead midway through the first half after a sustained spell of Bayern pressure, before turning the provider 10 minutes later, a mazy run beating four players before laying the ball on a plate for Jamal Musiala.
Bremen, who headed into the break without having had a shot, failed to improve in the second half and Olise grabbed a second assist for Harry Kane before adding a second of his own, and Bayern's fourth on the hour mark.
Michael Olise is the first player to score multiple goals AND provide multiple assists in a top five European league game in 2024/25.

Five minutes later it was 5-0 as Harry Kane released Serge Gnabry, who found the bottom corner to add gloss to the scoreline.
Kompany rang the changes from there, which saw the game peter out in the final 20 minutes, yet Werder managed to go the entire 90 minutes without a shot, suggesting that the result had never really been in doubt.
