🇩🇪 Bayern Munich tighten Bundesliga grip with Wolfsburg win

Bayern Munich tightened their grip in the Bundesliga title race with a 3-2 win over Wolfsburg.

Scorers: Goretzka 20', 62', Olise 39'; Amoura 24', 88'

Leon Goretzka opened the scoring for the hosts midway through the first half with a driving run before producing drilled finish on the edge of the penalty area .

The lead proved to be short-lived as Mohammed Amoura drew the visitors level within four minutes through a sweeping effort after being teed up in the box.

But Vincent Kompany's side restored their advantage before the interval as Michael Olise danced past several defenders before cutting a low drive from distance.

Joshua Kimmich appeared to have handed the Rekordmeister a further cushion deep in added time but saw his effort chalked off for a handball in the build-up.

Goretzka doubled his tally shortly after the hour mark at the Allianz Arena when he met Olise's free kick from the lefthand side with a well-taken header.

There was still time for one final twist as Amoura reduced his side's deficit in the final minutes of the game by rifling the ball home.

Bayern currently hold a seven-point cushion over defending champions Bayer Leverksen, who entertain Gladbach later on Saturday.
