Bayern hit by Davies injury blow
Bayern Munich suffered a shock 3-0 defeat at the hands of Feyenoord in the Champions League on Wednesday - and the fact that Alphonso Davies went off injured didn't make the result any easier to swallow for the German giants.
Asked if Davies had suffered a torn muscle fibre, head coach Vincent Kompany told Sky:
"It could be, but I haven't spoken to the medical staff yet."
Bayern's board member for sport, Max Eberl, was also asked about the injury and said:
“It's muscular, but nothing serious. But it probably means he has to take a break for now.”
As a result of the injury, Davies is likely to miss at least Saturday's game against Freiburg, with Raphael Guerreiro ready to step in.
