Bayer Leverkusen learn opponents for 2024/25 Bundesliga opening fixture

Champions Bayer Leverkusen will kick off the 2024/25 Bundesliga season against Borussia Monchengladbach.

Xabi Alonso’s side created history last term when they finished the entire campaign unbeaten, winning their first ever title by a whopping 17 points.

And the Werkself have learned on Thursday that they will begin their defence of the trophy away at Gladbach.

The match will take place on Friday, August 23 with the rest of next season’s fixtures to be revealed later today.
