A headline member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona has this week been named as the club’s Players’ Player of the Year.

Wide-man Lamine is of course fresh off the most remarkable of breakout seasons in Catalunya’s capital.

After seeing his endeavours at youth level rewarded by way of a call-up to the Blaugrana’s senior ranks, the 16-year-old did not look back for a single second.

All told, Lamine racked up 50 appearances across all competitions, notching seven goals and 10 assists along the way.

The attacker has since carried such excellence onto the international stage, too, shining across four starts with Spain at the European Championships.

And, as alluded to above, such exploits on Lamine’s part have on Tuesday been aptly recognised by his teammates at club level.

This comes amid confirmation that the starlet has scooped the award for Barcelona Players’ Player of the Year.

The prize, voted for by the club’s playing staff, aims to reward the standout performer in the first-team setup over the course of the season.

And Lamine, evidently, was considered to be precisely that on the part of the rest of incoming boss Hansi Flick’s squad.
