Barcelona vs Real Madrid LIVE!

Jude Bellingham scored a stoppage-time winner as his brace dragged Real Madrid to a 2-1 victory over Barcelona in the first El Clasico of the season. The England star, who had already scored on his first LaLiga and Champions League appearances from the club, hammered a strike into the top from 25 yards in the second-half as he produced a moment of magic out of nothing.

Real needed it too, as they struggled to find a way back into the match. Ilkay Gundogan had put Barcelona in front inside six minutes, and it was a lead they deservedly maintained until Bellingham's intervention midway through the second-half.

It looked as though the story would be Bellingham dragging Real to a Clasico point, but it got even better. The fell for him in the box in the second minute of added-time and he made no mistake to continue his remarkable start to life in Spain, making it 13 goals in as many appearances this season. The result lifts Real back to the top of LaLiga, ahead of Girona on goal difference, with Carlo Ancelotti's side now four points ahead of Barcelona.

Jude Bellingham has done it again.

A stunner to equaliser, and then a finish from close range to win it in stoppage-time.

Incredible display in his first Clasico.

BELLINGHAM HAS WON IT FOR REAL MADRID!

Madness. Ball into the box, takes a deflection and falls perfectly into the path of Bellingham who turns it home from close range.

Barcelona 1-1 Real Madrid

Still time for either side to win it...

Barcelona 1-1 Real Madrid

85 mins: Bellingham wins a corner for Real - would come as no surprise if he still had another moment of magic in him.

Not a great delivery from Modric, Barcelona can clear.

Straight on the attack, acrobatic effort saved by Kepa. Offside flag up anyway.

Barcelona 1-1 Real Madrid

16:57 , Matt Verri

82 mins: After that really shaky spell after the goal, Barcelona have got themselves together again.

Seeing plenty of the ball, back in some control.

Barcelona 1-1 Real Madrid

16:54 , Matt Verri

79 mins: Camavinga down in the box... not penalty!

That looked very close to being a foul, the Frenchman knocked the ball past Araujo and it seemed to be clumsy from the defender. Gets away with it.

At the other end, Lewandowski lashes over from the edge of the area.

Barcelona 1-1 Real Madrid

16:51 , Matt Verri

76 mins: Alaba is on lay-off duty, makes a bit of a mess of it and Valverde fires into the wall.

STUNNING FROM BELLINGHAM!

Barcelona 1-0 Real Madrid

16:42 , Matt Verri

66 mins: Barcelona fans appealing for anything and everything at the moment. Xavi getting in on that particular act too.

Tchouameni hammers a shot at goal from distance, great strike and it's parried away.

Barcelona 1-0 Real Madrid

16:38 , Matt Verri

63 mins: Ancelotti turns to his bench too.

Joselu and Modric on, Kroos and Rodrygo make way. Real need that presence up front.

Barcelona 1-0 Real Madrid

16:36 , Matt Verri

61 mins: Easy decision for the referee.

Felix flicks his way past Carvajal, who drags him back. Yellow card.

Lewandowski coming on for Barcelona, not exactly what Real wanted to see. He replaces Torres.

Barcelona 1-0 Real Madrid

60 mins: Lovely Barcelona move down the right, Lopez sets Cancelo away in space.

He fires a low cross in the middle, Kepa reads it though and is swiftly off his line to claim.

Barcelona 1-0 Real Madrid

16:32 , Matt Verri

Barcelona 1-0 Real Madrid

16:28 , Matt Verri

Great run into the box, Gavi tracks it all the way though and times the slide tackle perfectly.

Barcelona 1-0 Real Madrid

16:22 , Matt Verri

47 mins: Vinicius gets a decision!

Gavi slides in on him and this time the whistle does goes. And after all that... it wasn't even a foul. Gavi got the ball.

Real straight on the attack, Valverde lobs the ball over the top and Rodrygo is in. Sliced high and wide from a tight angle, Vinicius would have had a tap-in had he squared it.

Back underway!

16:19 , Matt Verri

Up and running for the second-half!

Frustrating half for the visitors...

16:11 , Matt Verri

Vinicius not enjoying his afternoon in Barcelona so far. He hasn't had any of the 50/50 decisions go in his favour, and Xavi has not been a particularly supportive figure on the touchline.

HT: Barcelona 1-0 Real Madrid

And that's half-time. Probably for the best, was all getting very heated.

Barcelona much the better side and they have a deserved lead at the break through Gundogan's early goal.

Barcelona 1-0 Real Madrid

16:04 , Matt Verri

45+1 mins: Dear me!

Rugby tackle doesn't do this justice. Vinicius knocks the ball past Torres, who grabs him with both arms and basically throws him to the ground.

Yellow card - maybe lucky it's only that.

Barcelona 1-0 Real Madrid

16:03 , Matt Verri

45 mins: Superb from Rudiger. Cross in from Araujo looks destined to find Torres free at the back post, but the Real centre-back flicks it behind for a corner.

Decent delivery, Rudiger there again to head it out.

Barcelona 1-0 Real Madrid

16:00 , Matt Verri

43 mins: All a bit desperate from Real in the final third. No fluency.

Barcelona 1-0 Real Madrid

15:51 , Matt Verri

34 mins: Barcelona firmly in control here, their young side is rising to the occasion.

Real losing their cool, it's the hosts who are calming things down and slowing it in possession.

Kroos turned, kicks out at Fermin. Another player fortunate to avoid a yellow.

Barcelona 1-0 Real Madrid

15:49 , Matt Verri

32 mins: Vinicius continues to try and officiate the game himself, just stopping when he thinks he's been fouled. Referee giving him nothing.

Real winger is so frustrated, Ancelotti the latest man he goes over to speak to.

Barcelona 1-0 Real Madrid

15:46 , Matt Verri

28 mins: Brilliant from Carvajal!

Felix looks to be away, clean on goal, but the right-back flies back in time and makes a perfect challenge. Had to get that right.

Vinicius then denied a free-kick yet again, right in front of Xavi who has a few words with the Real winger. Atmosphere goes up another notch.

Barcelona 1-0 Real Madrid

15:45 , Matt Verri

27 mins: Jeers getting louder and louder as Real knock the ball around.

Comes to Valverde, he slides it wide to Carvajal. Dinked cross all the way through to Mendy. Long spell of possession this.

Vinicius down... referee waves play on. Not the first time that has happened.

Barcelona 1-0 Real Madrid

15:41 , Matt Verri

24 mins: Barcelona want a booking for Tchouameni, Xavi is marching around his technical area waving an imaginary card.

None of the officials pay him any attention.

Barcelona 1-0 Real Madrid

15:39 , Matt Verri

22 mins: Rudiger all of 40 yards out, Barcelona don't close him down and the defender can't resist going for goal.

Catches the strike decently enough, but it's always flying wide.

Barcelona 1-0 Real Madrid

15:37 , Matt Verri

20 mins: Vinicius down under a challenge from Araujo, gets the decision.

Barcelona have done a good job of keeping the Brazilian and Bellingham quiet so far, seen very little of them since the opening couple of minutes.

Barcelona 1-0 Real Madrid

15:34 , Matt Verri

17 mins: That's been coming.

A second late challenge from Fermin, this time on Kroos, and he does now earn himself a yellow card.

Needs to calm down...

Barcelona 1-0 Real Madrid

15:33 , Matt Verri

16 mins: OFF THE POST!

Ball falls for Fermin, space in the area and he's denied by the woodwork. Big, big chance.

Barcelona 1-0 Real Madrid

15:32 , Matt Verri

15 mins: Valverde with the big switch of play, ball skips off the pitch though and Mendy can't keep it in.

Home fans continue to make plenty of noise as you'd expect, been a fairly ideal start to this match for them.

Barcelona 1-0 Real Madrid

15:29 , Matt Verri

12 mins: Real Madrid seeing plenty of the ball, but Barcelona looking solid in their shape when they sit off.

Fermin very fortunate to avoid a yellow card, as he slides in and chops Tchouameni. Just a talking to.

Barcelona 1-0 Real Madrid

15:26 , Matt Verri

9 mins: Real straight on the attack after that setback, Vinicius can't quite find Rodrygo in the box though.

Gavi then launches himself to the floor under pressure from Vinicius, gets the decision. Not sure about that...

GOAL! Barcelona 1-0 Real Madrid | Ilkay Gundogan 6'

15:24 , Matt Verri

BARCELONA IN FRONT!

Some start for Xavi's side. Gundogan's first goal for the club, ball bounces nicely for him as Alaba slides in and the midfielder keeps his nerve in the box to pass the finish beyond Kepa.

Barcelona 0-0 Real Madrid

15:21 , Matt Verri

4 mins: Ominous for Barcelona.

Bellingham wins the ball back, drives into space and he brings it into the box. Christensen does well to get his body across, Bellingham drags him to the floor.

Scrappy start to the match.

Barcelona 0-0 Real Madrid

15:19 , Matt Verri

2 mins: Loud boos whenever Vinicius gets even close to getting on the ball.

He can't keep the ball in play as it comes wide to him, boots it away. Home fans on his back again, they want a yellow card for that. Referee waves play on.

KICK-OFF!

15:17 , Matt Verri

We're underway in the Clasico!

Here we go!

15:14 , Matt Verri

Teams are out onto the pitch.

Ter Stegen hugging everyone in sight in the tunnel, whether they have a Real Madrid or Barcelona shirt in.

Vinicius with a huge smile on his face, all very relaxed.

Reminder why UK fans cannot watch live

15:10 , Matt Verri

Jude Bellingham's involvement - his first Clasico - brings extra English interest to the game, but no one in the UK will be able to view the game live.

As the game kicks off at 3.15pm today, the traditional UK TV 3pm blackout applies so neither rights-holders ITV4 nor Premier Sports are able to broadcast the game in the UK.

Just as well you've got us then!

Not long now!

15:02 , Matt Verri

Warm-ups are pretty much done in Barcelona.

Teams will be in the tunnel very shortly - kick-off coming up in just under 15 minutes.

It wouldn't be a Clasico without a controversial build-up

14:42

Barcelona boss Xavi has called for calm after the club was forced to apologise for a board member's tweet mocking Real Madrid winger Vinicius Jr ahead of this weekend's El Clasico.

The Brazilian forward has often faced racial abuse from opposition fans in Spain and was this week subjected to a quickly-deleted post on X (formerly Twitter) by Barcelona director Miguel Camps.

"It's not racism, he deserves a slap for being a clown and a joker, what do those unnecessary and pointless stepovers in the middle of the pitch mean?" Camps said of Vinicius following Madrid's win over Braga in the Champions League.

Evening Standard score prediction

13:22

Much will depend on Barcelona's injury list and how many of their first-team stars they can get back to fitness in time.

As it stands, it is Real who go into the match in stronger shape, and they have a man in Bellingham who can be expected to rise to the occasion and make his mark as he features in a competitive Clasico for the first time.

Barcelona have not looked particularly convincing at the back this season and could be edged out here by their biggest rivals.

Real Madrid to win, 2-1.

Predicted Real Madrid XI: Kepa; Carvajal, Rudiger, Alaba, Mendy; Kroos, Tchouameni, Valverde; Bellingham; Vinicius Jr, Rodrygo

Early Real Madrid team news

13:12

There were concerns for Real Madrid over Jude Bellingham's fitness when he came off in the Champions League against Braga, but Ancelotti was quick to confirm that the England star was just tired and had no injury issues.

Thibaut Courtois and Eder Militao remain out, but there are otherwise significantly less injury issues facing Real than Barcelona heading into this weekend's clash.

Our Barcelona predicted line-up

13:08

Predicted Barcelona XI: Ter Stegen; Cancelo, Araujo, Martinez, Balde; Gavi, Romeu, Gundogan; Torres, Lewandowski, Felix

Early Barcelona team news

13:03 , Marc Mayo

Robert Lewandowski remains a major doubt for Barcelona after missing the last two LaLiga matches with an ankle injury, but he is nearing first-time involvement. Raphinha and Frenkie de Jong are also pushing to return to full fitness in time.

Pedri, Jules Kounde and Sergi Roberto are set to miss out, but Joao Felix should be available despite limping off against Shakhtar Donetsk in midfield.

Why isn't El Clasico on TV?

12:58 , Marc Mayo

The game will not be broadcast live in the UK, due to the Saturday 3pm blackout.

"We’re disappointed that British fans cannot watch El Clasico this weekend due to the UK's self-imposed Saturday 3pm rule," said Keegan Pierce, La Liga's Head of International Development for UK and Ireland MD.

"While we fully support measures to promote attendance, we believe the blackout should be limited to the televising of domestic football, not overseas competitions."
