Barcelona trio equal benchmark set by Real Madrid’s famed ‘BBC’ trio
A head-turning statistic, highlighting the excellence of the frontline at La Liga giants Barcelona over the early weeks of the season, has come to the fore online.
Barcelona, of course, are fresh off a stellar opening to the new campaign.
Across four outings to date, the Blaugrana have racked up a perfect four wins, to surge clear atop the La Liga table.
Key to as much have been the exploits of the club’s attacking stars, who have racked up 13 goals in the space of Barca’s four fixtures.
Robert Lewandowski leads the way when it comes to goalscoring, with four goals to his name.
Raphinha, meanwhile, is close behind on three, following the Brazilian’s hat-trick against Real Valladolid this past weekend.
And Lamine Yamal has proven the creator-in-chief, already boasting four assists in the Spanish top-flight.
With Lewandowski, having also managed an assist, Raphinha two and Lamine a goal of his own, this means that each of Barcelona’s front three have directly contributed to five goals in four appearances to date.
And, as revealed by La Pausa, as much puts the Blaugrana’s attackers in special company:
‘Yamal, Raphinha and Lewandowski all have 5 combined goals and assists for Barcelona in LaLiga this season. The last time three teammates hit that mark this early in a LaLiga season was Ronaldo, Benzema and Bale in 2015-16.’
