Barcelona table Antonio Cordero offer
La Liga giants Barcelona have tabled an opening offer for an up-and-coming member of the attacking ranks at Málaga.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who point towards Antonio Cordero as the player in question.
Cordero, for his part, has long emerged as one of the most highly-regarded young talents across the Spanish football landscape.
This comes with the attacker, who generally lines out on the wing, have proven himself a central figure in Málaga’s return to La Liga 2.
Despite being just 17 years of age, Cordero lit up the flanks in Andalusia last season, notching 22 appearances in his breakout campaign.
And such exploits evidently did not go at all unnoticed at the aforementioned Barcelona, whom it is understood this week tabled a proposal for the Spanish starlet.
As per a report from Mundo Deportivo:
‘The Blaugrana club have presented an offer to sign the young attacker in these last days of the transfer market so that he can be one of the luxury reinforcements for Barça Atlètic in search of promotion.’
The bid in question was rejected by the Málaga brass, with it now remaining to be seen whether or not Barcelona return with an improved proposal.
