Barcelona struggling star showcases desire to succeed with extra training sessions during holidays
Ansu Fati has been linked with a move out of Barcelona given his repeated struggles for fitness and it is not difficult to see why the club would fancy parting ways with him.
Yet, it is concurrently well known that Hansi Flick seriously values the youngster and sees the potential to come back in the La Masia star and the coming months will be critical in actually deciding his next step.
After a second injury of the season, Fati only returned to the squad for Barcelona’s game against Atletico Madrid earlier this month but did not participate given his lack of match practice and how the game unfolded.
Working overtime
Yet, the player is leaving no stone unturned and is looking to push for a return to the field as early as possible as relayed by Mundo Deportivo.
The Spanish outlet reveals that Fati worked at the club facilities yesterday despite the squad being on vacation for Christmas and is currently undergoing a mini-preseason to ensure he is at his physical best.
Further, the youngster is also expected to train at the club facilities on December 27 and 28th, the last two days of the vacation granted by Hansi Flick to the squad.
The Catalans’ No. 10 is working overtime and sacrificing his holidays to ensure he is available in his best version for Barcelona’s games after the break which could well be his chance to step up and prove his worth.
For starters, he has a good chance of starting Barcelona’s game against Barbastro in early January in the Copa del Rey and can also play a part in the Spanish Super Cup which kicks off days later.
The Blaugrana thus have the player’s back and support him during his extra days of training by making available the required physiotherapists, doctors and trainers to aid in his efforts.
