Barcelona starlet rewarded with new contract

Barcelona have announced that Fermín López has signed a contract extension with the club until 2029.

The 21-year-old's previous deal was set to expire in 2028 but he has now penned fresh terms tying him down for the next five years and improving his salary.

In addition, the contract also includes a new release clause which is set at €500 million.

López joined La Masia in 2016 and enjoyed a breakout campaign last year in which he scored 11 goals to surpass all expectations.
