Barcelona star remains ‘firmly convinced’ of leaving the club in January
Barcelona star Ronald Araújo remains fully focused on sealing a departure from the club before the month is out.
That’s according to Relevo, who have on Tuesday evening provided a fresh insight into the situation.
The subject of Araújo’s future has of course dominated the headlines across Spain once more over the course of the last 48 hours.
This comes after the speculation linking the Uruguayan with an imminent transfer was, all of a sudden, shut down.
After Iñigo Martínez was forced into a premature departure from Sunday’s Super Cup showdown with Real Madrid, medical tests confirmed that the experienced stopper is in line for a spell of around four weeks on the sidelines.
As much, it was claimed, had in turn closed the door on any potential exit for Araújo.
But, if the latest update to have surfaced late on Tuesday is anything to go by, then the player himself remains fully determined to move on before the winter transfer window slams shut.
As per a report from Relevo:
‘The injury to Iñigo Martínez, who will be out for a month after it was confirmed that he has suffered a tear in the femoral biceps of his right leg, has not changed the intentions of Araújo, who remains firmly convinced of leaving Barça in this winter transfer market and has made this known to the Blaugrana sporting management.’
