Barcelona star handed international call despite missing training
Barcelona star Pau Cubarsí’s latest international call-up came despite the youngster having been forced to sit out training on Wednesday.
The name of defender Cubarsí has of course positioned itself front and centre in the headlines across Spain over the course of the day to date.
This comes after the 17-year-old was handed a last-minute call-up to Luis de la Fuente’s Spain squad.
After Aston Villa star Pau Torres was forced to withdraw through injury, Cubarsí was drafted in in his place.

The news is understood to have gone down altogether poorly at Barcelona, with Cubarsí’s initial La Roja omission having come as a result of a nasty facial injury suffered by the stopper.
And this is not the only issue with which Cubarsí is dealing at present…
As per a report from Mundo Deportivo:
‘According to sources in the Barcelona dressing room, the player did not train with Barça on Wednesday as he felt unwell, vomiting and dizzy since Tuesday.’
