Barcelona star has been dribbled past more times than any other player in La Liga this season

A head-turning statistic surrounding the defensive efforts of a member of the midfield ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona has this weekend come to the fore online.

The stat in question comes courtesy of WhoScored, and centers on Barca standout Pedri.

Spanish international Pedri has of course enjoyed a superb individual campaign to date.

Having seemingly put his long-standing fitness problems firmly behind him, the 22-year-old has looked back to his brilliant best at the heart of new Blaugrana boss Hansi Flick’s midfield.

Whilst the likes of Raphinha and Lamine Yamal have so often stolen the headlines, many actually feel as though Pedri has been Barcelona’s most consistent performer in 2024/25.

In turn, it may come as something of a surprise to hear of a less-than-positive statistic surrounding the endeavours of the former Las Palmas man coming to the fore online.

This comes amid confirmation on the part of the aforementioned WhoScored that:

‘Pedri has been dribbled past more times (25) than any other player in La Liga this season.’
