Barcelona star ‘99%’ likely to leave

A long-time member of the first-team setup at La Liga giants Barcelona is all but certain to move on this summer.

That’s according to transfer insider Matteo Moretto, who points towards Sergi Roberto as the player in question.

Versatile midfielder Roberto has of course long seen his name take its place front and centre in the headlines in Catalunya’s capital.

This comes after the 32-year-old’s contract was allowed to come to a close.

Contrasting claims have since spread in the media when it comes to Barcelona’s plans for the club’s youth product, with recent weeks having pointed towards Roberto himself as waiting for the Blaugrana to correct their financial situation, in the hopes of being offered a new deal.

As alluded to above, however, if the latest word to have surfaced on Friday is anything to go by, then the Spaniard need not get his hopes up.

As per a report from transfer insider:

‘We can confirm what we have been saying over recent weeks. There is a 99% chancw he does not continue with Barça.’
