Dani Olmo was the only big signing that FC Barcelona made in the last summer transfer window. However, he is already proving himself to be a great signing, as he has not required any time to adapt to his new club.

In three appearances up to now, he has already scored three goals and is already becoming an integral part of the team for Flick. Thus, the Hamstring injury he suffered in the match against Girona, which is expected to keep him out of action for the next 4-5 weeks, is going to be a significant blow for the German tactician.

But despite this injury, there is no doubt about the great start to the season that he has had since joining Barcelona. In fact, SPORT notes that he was already close to reaching two very notable names in Barcelona’s history in one aspect, and can still reach them after returning from this injury.

With his three goals in three games, against Rayo Vallecano, Real Valladolid, and Girona, he is close to reaching the start of Barcelona careers enjoyed by Cesc Fabregas and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Cesc Fabregas scored in his first four La Liga games after joining Barcelona in 2011. His goals came against Villarreal, Real Sociedad, Osasuna, and Valencia.

On the other hand, Zlatan Ibrahimovic went on to score in the first five of his Barcelona games in La Liga after joining the Catalan side. These goals came against Sporting de Gijon, Getafe, Atletico Madrid, Racing de Santander, and Malaga.

Despite their glittery starts to Barcelona careers, both Cesc Fabregas and Zlatan Ibrahimovic were unable to live up to the expectations they had generated in the Blaugrana fans. Hopefully, this will not be the case with Olmo, and he will be able to continue on this run of good form once he returns from his physical setback.
