The powers that be at La Liga giants Barcelona have knocked back a transfer offer for an out-of-favour member of the club’s attacking ranks.

That’s according to Florian Plettenberg of Sky Germany, who points towards Vitor Roque as the subject of the bid in question.

Frontman Roque is of course widely expected to be move on by Barcelona before the summer is out, having failed to convince new manager Hansi Flick of his readiness to contribute over the season ahead.

It remains unclear whether as much will come in the form of a loan or a permanent move, with recent days having pointed towards the former option as being most likely.

If the latest word stemming from the media on Tuesday is anything to go by, however, then a permanent transfer seemingly cannot be ruled out.

This comes with the Blaugrana brass currently locked in negotiations with Premier League outfit Everton, over a potential deal for Roque.

As per a report from the aforementioned Florian Plettenberg, Deco and co. recently rejected an opening offer by way of Goodison Park, worth an initial €25 million, and a further €3 million in bonuses.

Talks between the parties are ongoing, with Barcelona demanding closer to €35 million to sanction a deal.
