Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Fabián Ruiz is reportedly on the radar of FC Barcelona, Juventus, and Real Madrid. While the former Napoli standout has found success with Spain’s national team, that hasn’t translated to the Parisians.

As a result, one pundit suggests that the capital club might need to offload the UEFA Euro 2024 winner if he doesn’t adapt.

During the recent FIFA international break in September, Ruiz took center stage in Spain’s UEFA Nations League match against Switzerland. The PSG midfielder netted twice, scoring in the 13th and 77th minutes to help Spain claim another victory.

In Friday’s match against Stade Rennais, Ruiz played 69 minutes before being subbed out. RMC Sport pundit Daniel Riolo questions how the 28-year-old could be the same player who has amazing performances for Spain but cannot replicate that with PSG.

“You’re tempted to go up to him and say, ‘Listen, what do you need? How do they make you play in Spain?’ At some point, he’s going to have to adapt to his team,” Riolo said (h/t Le10Sport). “He can’t say, ‘I’ve got nobodies around me.’ A good player, when you move from a very good team, I can’t even understand how he’s playing at this level with PSG.

“With Spain, he hasn’t been a starter for long, he manages to play a few good games, and now he’s a star? It’s becoming frustrating to watch, especially since he doesn’t have bad players around him at PSG.”

If Ruiz continues to struggle it might be in PSG’s best interest to sell high on the player rather than seeing his current stock diminish.
