Following weeks of uncertainty, it appears there is finally some respite for Barcelona fans as the club look on track to register their new signings, Dani Olmo and Pau Victor.

That is because Barça are on the verge of reaching an agreement with a Saudi fund regarding the sale of VIP boxes at Spotify Camp Nou, which could bring an inflow of more than €100 million.

Laporta offers Flick a status update

According to Diario SPORT, Joan Laporta, who party facilitated the deal from Dubai, has informed Barcelona coach Hansi Flick about the club’s situation.

The German has been informed of Barcelona’s updated financial status, with Laporta being clear about the fact that Barça can operate in the transfer market at full capacity from next summer.

That is, provided, La Liga gives the green light to the agreement with the Saudi fund.

The deal will also enable Barcelona to register their summer signings, Olmo and Victor. The club, however, are also awaiting other means of registering these players.

The Catalans have notably appealed to obtain precautionary measures through another court, the outcome of which will come anytime over the next few hours.

Should Barcelona receive another rejection from the court, the club may have no option but to await La Liga’s approval and trigger the deal with the Saudi fund.

If not, Barça may opt to wait out a bit and perhaps even find other suitors. The club, after all, had expected an inflow of €200 million from the sale of VIP boxes at Spotify Camp Nou.

The coming few hours, therefore, would be critical and one that could shape Barcelona’s economic policies.

Flick, in the meantime, has already been eyeing up a few options in the transfer market, with Thomas Partey and Reinildo notably emerging as summer targets.
