In a significant development, it appears FC Barcelona are set for another breakthrough as far as their renewal talks with key players are concerned.

The Catalans have recently announced the contract extension of Ronald Araujo and Gerard Martin. Now, the club are poised to announce new deals for two more players in the form of Pedri and Gavi.

Pedri and Gavi’s renewals imminent

According to Diario SPORT, Barcelona have everything in place to renew the contracts of both Pedri and Gavi.

The two midfielders are expected to pen new deals this week. They will do so between Thursday and Friday, after the Champions League game against Atalanta.

This goes in line with earlier reports which claimed that Barcelona were poised to announce two more deals after the renewal of Araujo and Martin.

Gavi is expected to pen a new deal that will see him remain at Camp Nou until 2030. The new deal will include a release clause worth €1 billion.

Pedri, on the other hand, is also expected to sign a new contract at Barça until 2030, in what could prove to be a massive breakthrough for the club.

It must be noted that Pedri has been recently linked with a move to Saudi Arabia. But the contract renewal will prove that the midfielder is not leaving Barcelona anytime soon.

Barcelona are expected to retain the same release clause as last time, which is worth a hefty €1 billion.

The renewal of Pedri and Gavi could go a long way in helping Barcelona safeguard the future of two of their best talents, who are more than likely to play a key role in the Barça project.
