Barcelona pair sit out training ahead of Villarreal
Two key members of the midfield ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona sat out group training on Saturday.
That’s according to journalist Victor Navarro, who points towards Pedri and Marc Casadó as the pair in question.
Barcelona, of course, are currently in the midst of final preparations for a return to domestic action, on Sunday evening.
After slipping to a first defeat of the campaign in the Champions League in midweek, the Blaugrana are primed to make the trip to El Madrigal, eyeing an immediate bounce-back result in a meeting with the aforementioned Villarreal.
Safe to say, then, that news of two of the club’s key players over the early weeks of the term missing training on Saturday likely marked a source of concern for those of a Barca persuasion.
As per club insider Victor Navarro, neither Pedri or Marc Casadó trained with the rest of Hansi Flick’s squad this morning.
This, however, came as a precaution, rather than owing to any kind of injury concern.
In turn, it is concluded that both should be fit and available to take to the pitch at El Madrigal in a little over 24 hours’ time.
