Barcelona midfield target declares loyalty to current club – ‘I see myself staying here’
Angelo Stiller, the 23-year-old midfielder from Stuttgart, has recently become a highly talked-about name in football, with his performances catching the attention of some of Europe’s biggest clubs.
Over the last few months, his name has been repeatedly linked with Barcelona, sparking speculation about a potential move.
Stiller’s rise in the Bundesliga has been nothing short of impressive. From a promising talent to one of the most talked-about midfielders in Germany, he has proven himself to be a player of great potential.
Many in Germany are already predicting that Stiller could be the natural successor to Toni Kroos in the national team’s midfield.
His performances on the pitch have seen his stock rise dramatically, and now some of the top clubs in Europe, including Barcelona, are said to be keeping an eye on him.
Stiller speaks on his future
Despite the increasing buzz surrounding his future, Stiller has remained tight-lipped and cautious. He is aware of the rumours linking him with a move to a bigger club, but he has made it clear that he is focused solely on his current club, Stuttgart.
In an interview with German media outlet Bild (h/t SPORT), he explained that, while speculation is inevitable in football, he is not letting it distract him.
“Of course, you hear some speculation about possible changes. Sometimes I am asked about it, even within our locker room,” he addressed.
or now, his focus is solely on playing well for Stuttgart, and he insists that this is the only thing on his mind.
“The subject does not concern me. It’s a bad time to worry about this. I am at Stuttgart and that is my only goal,” he added.
Stiller worked under Flick
It must be noted that Hansi Flick and Stiller worked together during the midfielder’s time at Bayern Munich, although he had yet to make his breakthrough at the Bavarian club.
However, with Flick now in charge at Barcelona, the possibility of a reunion between the two has sparked speculation.
Despite the growing attention, Stiller has reassured fans and the media that he is happy at Stuttgart.
He acknowledged that he feels the support and appreciation of the fans at Stuttgart and is enjoying his time there.
“In football, everything goes very fast and you have to be very careful with what you say. But it’s clear that I can see myself staying at Stuttgart. I feel the appreciation of the fans and everyone at the club,” he explained.
