Barcelona’s partnership with Nike, their long-standing kit manufacturer, is closer than ever to reaching a substantial renewal. Adding to that, Mundo Deportivo recently revealed the key financial details behind this anticipated deal.

According to negotiation sources, the agreement is set to provide Barcelona with an initial signing bonus estimated at €158 million. However, this amount will be spread across the agreement’s entire duration.

The structure of the deal is divided into two phases: the first phase runs from 2024 to 2028, coinciding with the conclusion of Barcelona’s current contract with Nike.

Afterwards, the partnership extends for another ten years, lasting from 2028 to 2038. When broken down, the prorated signing bonus translates to approximately €11.28 million per season.

When the final contract is official, it must pass through an Extraordinary Assembly for formal ratification. If approved, the deal could provide Barcelona with total revenue exceeding €1.7 billion from Nike over 14 years.

Under the current contract, Nike pays Barcelona €60 million annually, plus various bonuses. The upcoming renewal offers an increase that will add approximately €45 million per season from 2024 to 2028.

This figure includes a €35 million base improvement alongside a €10 million annual portion of the signing bonus. The significant increase, however, is set to begin in the 2028-29 season, once the current deal expires.

From that point until 2038, Barcelona is expected to earn an extra €60 million annually (with €50 million as a base increment and the same €10 million bonus allocation each year).

Nike has remained quiet regarding these negotiations in the past, occasionally suggesting that the club was overly optimistic about the situation.

Recently, however, Nike has confirmed that talks are advancing smoothly and that an official agreement announcement could be on the horizon.
