Barcelona & Man United tipped for surprise attacker swap deal
A headline exchange of attackers has this week been touted between Spanish and English heavyweights Barcelona and Manchester United.
The deal in question would see Marcus Rashford make his way to the former, with Ansu Fati heading in the opposite direction.
The name of frontman Rashford has of course proven a prominent one in the headlines in Catalunya over the course of recent weeks.
This comes with the England international’s revelation that he is ready for a new challenge having been swiftly followed by rumours of interest on the part of Barcelona.
Amid the ongoing financial problems at the Camp Nou, however, Barca would likely be forced to get creative in efforts to strike an agreement.
And, if the latest word stemming from the media on Monday is anything to go by, then one such option on the part of the Blaugrana could consist of a swap of sorts.
As per a report from Football365, citing sources in Spain:
‘Marcus Rashford could be given a way out of Man Utd at Barcelona if the Red Devils can agree a deal that would see Ansu Fati move in the opposite direction.’
Wide-man Ansu is widely considered to be surplus to requirements in Barcelona, amid another challenging campaign to date.
In turn, it is claimed that Deco and co. are ready to offer up the 22-year-old in part-exchange for Rashford next month.
It remains to be seen, however, whether Manchester United would have any interest in a player who just last season struggled badly in England whilst on the books of Brighton & Hove Albion.
