Barcelona’s latest young sensation keen on remaining at the club despite offers – report
Barcelona are set to lose numerous academy talents in this ongoing January transfer window.
Pau Prim looks set for a move to Al Sadd, while Barça Atletic captain Unai Hernandez is well on his way to Al Ittihad – a move that has shocked many in Spain.
Nevertheless, despite all the exits, Barcelona are certain to produce more talents that can fill in the shoes of these outgoing stars.
One of them could be Arnau Pradas, who is making quite an impression with his performances at the youth level.
Next big star of La Masia?
A left winger by trade, Pradas currently plies his trade with Juvenil A, under the leadership of Juliano Belletti.
The young attacker has flourished under Belletti, notably playing a key role in Barcelona’s youth team, which has performed brilliantly in the UEFA Youth League this season.
Pradas has made a couple of appearances for the Barça Atletic side as well and could soon be bet for a breakthrough at a higher level.
Pradas wants to stay at Barça
Arnau Pradas’ contract at Barcelona expires in June. So naturally, the forward has attracted interest from clubs across Europe, as reported by SPORT.
However, it appears the youngster is determined to continue at Barça, which is the club of his club. He wants to make a name for himself in the Barcelona first-team setup.
Apart from Prim and Hernandez, Pradas, too, has attracted interest from teams in Saudi Arabia, with his contract expiring later this year. However, the 18-year-old winger remains keen on continuing at the club.
That said, the report adds that Pradas has not received any renewal offer from Barcelona, who have a lot of ground to cover as they look to secure the futures of their bright stars at La Masia.
Pradas, for his part, remains focused on his football. His immediate goal is to make a breakthrough at Barça Atletic, before eventually knocking on the door of the first team.
