Barcelona’s latest effort to register Dani Olmo rejected
La Liga giants Barcelona have on Monday been dealt a fresh blow behind the scenes.
This comes amid confirmation that the club’s latest endeavour to register midfielder Dani Olmo for the remainder of the campaign has been rejected.
The name of Spanish international Olmo has of course taken its place front and centre in the headlines in Catalunya’s capital over the course of the last week.
This comes as the deadline for Barcelona to register the midfielder for the 2nd half of the term inches ever closer.
Late last week, the Blaugrana saw an appeal to The Commercial Court knocked back, forcing Joan Laporta and co. to seek out alternative options.
And, as alluded to above, on Monday, another such effort has been turned down, too.
As per a report from Diario Sport:
‘FC Barcelona has seen the Court of First Instance number 47 of Barcelona decide to deny the precautionary measure requested to register the two players (Olmo and Pau Víctor) beyond December 31.’
Barca, as a result, have already kicked into gear a final push to return to the 1:1 rule, courtesy of the sale of the VIP seats at the newly-refurbished Spotify Camp Nou.
A further update on the situation is expected imminently.
