With the recent signing of Ibrahim Diarra, FC Barcelona have added another young talent from Africa to their youth ranks.

The Malian forward’s signing for Barça Atletic was officially confirmed earlier this month after he turned 18 years old.

The Blaugrana have made it a point to strengthen their efforts to scout and sign youth players from the African continent and there are no plans to stop.

Amara Diouf next?

Indeed, following the addition of Diarra, Barcelona have already identified the next talent from Africa that they intend to sign, with Amara Diouf on the club’s agenda reports Mundo Deportivo.

Diouf, 16, is a skilled left-winger who is currently a part of the Generation Foot academy in his homeland Senegal.

Despite being just 16, he has already made two senior appearances for the Senegalese national team after featuring 10 times for the Under-17 side, with whom he even scored seven goals.

A player with immense potential, the teenage attacking prodigy has already attracted interest from several European clubs.

Indeed, the report states that FC Metz in France had believed to have already secured his signing but that does not appear to be the case.

Barcelona, for their part, are keeping a close watch on Diouf’s situation and are even monitoring his recovery from a knee injury that has sidelined him for an extended period.

Diouf will be free to leave the Generation Foot academy in 2025, although, due to regulations, he cannot officially sign with any European club until he turns 18 in 2026.

Barcelona are on top of the situation and it will be interesting to see if the Senegalese teenager becomes the next addition to the African contingent at the La Liga club.
