La Liga giants Barcelona have on Saturday been afforded some timely positive news on the personnel front.

This comes amid confirmation that an up-and-coming member of the club’s midfield ranks has returned to training alongside the rest of the club’s squad.

The player in question? Pablo Torre.

Youngster Torre, for his part, was forced into a premature departure from a pre-season session earlier this week, after suffering a broken bone in his hand.

The 21-year-old, who spent this past season on loan at Girona, was in turn forced under the knife, expected to return to the training pitch at some point over the next couple of weeks.

Torre, however, on Saturday sprung a surprise.

As per a report from Mundo Deportivo:

‘The former Racing de Santander player does not want to waste time and this Saturday he returned to training with the group despite his recent operation. A setback was not going to stop him and Pablo Torre trained with a conspicuous bandage on his left hand two days after his operation in the last session of the week.’

Torre is understood to be desperate to convince new Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick of his talents, fast-tracking his recovery amid an ongoing bid to carve out a place for himself with the Blaugrana over the season ahead.
