Barcelona’s pre-season preparations are going in full gear right now, under the leadership of newly-appointed Hansi Flick.

The German, though, is dealing with a limited number of first-team stars, majorly due to the extended summer break given to stars, who participated in either Copa America and Euro 2024 this summer.

That is why Euro 2024 champions Ferran Torres and Lamine Yamal are both set to miss the upcoming US tour.

Raphinha to return for US tour

Another player who is currently on an extended break following international action this summer is Raphinha.

The forward represented Brazil in Copa America, though it appears the Selecao‘s early exit could see the player return to the Barcelona camp just in time for the US tour.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Raphinha is likely to return to the Barcelona camp by the end of July. He should be back in time to embark on the pre-season tour to the United States.

This could serve as a relief for Barcelona, who are already missing a series of star players in the pre-season camp either due to injuries or extended breaks.

For the time being, Raphinha is enjoying his break in his native Brazil. Even on his break, the forward has remained connected to football, notably visiting his youth club Avai FC.

Raphinha’s availability will be crucial for Barcelona, who are slated to take on the likes of Manchester City, AC Milan and Real Madrid during the US tour.

These matches should serve as an excellent opportunity for the former Leeds United to make a solid impression on Flick.

Barcelona are hoping Raphinha can get back to his full potential under the leadership of Flick, whose direct style of football might just benefit the Brazilian international.
