The brass at La Liga giants have already all but secured the club’s first major signing for the 2025/26 season.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who point towards Jonathan Tah as the player in question.

The name of defender Tah has of course dominated the headlines in Catalunya’s capital over the course of the last couple of weeks.

This comes after reports surfaced in the Spanish media, pointing towards a fresh round of talks as having taken place between the Barcelona brass, and the German’s representatives.

Jijantes, in fact, went as far as to claim that:

‘The operation, after the aforementioned meeting, is practically completed and both parties are very happy.’

And, as alluded to above, on Thursday, such claims have been added to by the reliable Mundo Deportivo.

In fact, the suggestion on the part of MD is that Tah has already made the definitive decision to put pen to paper on terms at the Camp Nou:

‘The current Bayer Leverkusen centre-back Jonathan Tah has decided to sign for the Blaugrana club with a view to joining on 1 July.’

The 28-year-old’s arrival will come without a fee attached, ahead of the imminent expiration of his contract terms with Bayer Leverkusen.
