Barcelona board view 4 players as having dropped their level during recent slump
The brass at La Liga giants Barcelona are of the opinion that four leading members of the club’s first-team squad have been responsible for a drop in level over recent weeks.
This of course comes amid something of a collective dip in form in Hansi Flick’s ranks.
After a scintillating opening to the campaign, Barcelona’s efforts have tailed off either side of the most recent international break.
All told, the Blaugrana have managed just a solitary win from their last five attempts in La Liga.
As much has opened the door for arch rivals Real Madrid to position themselves back firmly in the title race, now sitting just two points behind, with a game in hand.
In the midst of such struggles, the finger of blame has been pointed at a whole host of individuals, from coaching to playing staff and beyond.
As per a report from Diario Sport, however, those in the boardroom at the Camp Nou do not consider headmaster Hansi Flick as the problem:
‘There is maximum confidence in Hansi Flick and his style guide, hence the focus is more on the players than on the German coach.’
Specifically, for a multitude of reasons, there is said to be disappointment with the most recent performances of four headline figures in Barcelona’s squad – Dani Olmo, Robert Lewandowski, Jules Koundé and, surprisingly, Raphinha.
