The brass at La Liga giants Barcelona are hopeful of wrapping up an agreement for the club’s first headline signing of the summer transfer window imminently.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who have on Monday provided an insight into the latest developments behind the scenes in Catalunya’s capital.

It is of course common knowledge across Spain at this point that Barcelona are currently working on two deals – one for Nico Williams, and one for Dani Olmo.

As things stand, the former is considered the priority, identified as the ideal profile to round out the frontline of new head coach Hansi Flick.

With Williams yet to provide a definitive answer regarding his plans for next season, though, Deco and his team of directors are also working to tie up an accord with the entourage of RB Leipzig standout Dani Olmo.

It is not out of the question, either, that when all is said and done this summer, Barca will find a way to bring in both players.

Whatever the case, though, the Blaugrana faithful should not be forced to wait much longer for an announcement regarding the arrival of one leading transfer target.

As per a report from Mundo Deportivo, on Monday:

‘FC Barcelona hope to be able to announce new deals during the first team’s tour of the USA. There are several deals underway and the forecast is that they will be finalised in the next few days.’
