Last night when Barcelona took on Manchester City in the first pre-season friendly of their USA tour, manager Hansi Flick was able to extract a lot of positives from the match.

New signing Pau Victor scored the opener and finished with the MotM award while Pablo Torre added another goal to his name after having already scored vs UE Olot.

Inaki Pena and Ander Astralaga both impressed in goal during their time on the pitch while Marc Bernal showed that he might be ready for a first-team role when the season starts.

Toni Fernandez makes an impression

Apart from the aforementioned players, though, another young talent, Toni Fernandez, also made a huge impression.

Indeed, after coming on right after the half-time break, the teenage forward, who turned 16 years old only earlier this month, put on a fine display at the Camping World Stadium in Orlando.

Known for his technical quality, the 16-year-old talent displayed his ability with a stunning outside-of-the-foot pass with his gifted left foot that almost led to a second goal of the night for Pau Victor.

In all, during his 45 minutes on the field, Toni Fernandez made three key passes, created one big chance and won three ground duels as well while completing 93% of his passes.

Having shown great personality against some top opponents, the La Masia pearl capped off the night with a nerveless penalty during the shootout that won it for Barcelona.

A player with great goalscoring capability, Toni Fernandez showed his technical side as well and displayed that he has the potential to make it big.

Having recently signed a new contract, the 16-year-old will hope to continue to get an opportunity with the first-team setup even after Barcelona return from the US tour.
