Bala turn tables at Nomads to reach top six
Bala Town secured their place in the Cymru Premier Championship Conference as they turned the tables in this replayed encounter at Connah's Quay Nomads.
Osebi Abadaki broke the deadlock for the visitors on the hour mark and Nathan Burke added their second five minutes later.
The first half was goalless, a stark contrast to the first attempt at playing this fixture when Nomads were 3-0 up at the break only for the match to be abandoned because of fog.
It meant the the first phase of the Cymru Premier could only be completed in this game, which the Football Association of Wales ordered should be replayed.
Connah's Quay were destined to be in the bottom six irrespective of the outcome as Billy Paynter's side could not overtake Barry Town United.
But Barry were vulnerable to Bala, who needed only a draw to secure a top-six spot. In the event, Bala rose to fifth, with Cardiff Met dropping to sixth and Barry, who were frustrated by the game being replayed, replacing Bala in seventh.
The split sees the top six teams competing in the Championship Conference while the bottom six will be battling it out in the Play-Off Conference.
