A former prison judge who’s seen Robert Pickton in the past says the serial killer was likely transferred from a B-C prison to a maximum-security institution in Quebec for his own protection. Darryl Plecas, a former Speaker of the B-C legislature and a judge at B-C’s Kent Institution where Pickton was an inmate, says Pickton’s personal security was likely at risk from inmates at the Mission, B-C facility.
