TORONTO. x–09s. The University of Toronto’s president says the university has given students 24 hours to consider the proposals aimed at ending the encampment on campus. Meric Gertler says the protest encampment must end and the university will take “further action” if an agreement with the protesters is not reached. While the protest has been peaceful overall, Gertler says there have also been reports of what he calls “hateful incidents.”
