NAT120 – (Ont-UofT-Encampment)
TORONTO. x–09s. Weeks after students set up a pro-Palestinian encampment at the University of Toronto’s downtown campus, the school is taking steps to end it. The school says it has made an offer to representatives of the encampment that includes the formation of a working group to consider options for the disclosure and increased transparency of its investments, as well as students getting an opportunity to present their demands on divestment. University President Meric Gertler says the protesters have 24 hours to consider the proposals, which are conditional on the encampment clearing and not resuming at any campus of the university.
